Confession Corner: My Obsession With Stationery

Hello dear readers. Today I wanted to share with you another little confession of mine. I love stationery. Scrap that - I ADORE stationery. I always have, when I was a kid and my Dad used to come visit me on the weekend I'd always insist we took a trip to McDonald's (chicken nuggets, fries, BBQ sauce and a vanilla milkshake) and Office World. I'm not even joking - my Dad would always ask me "Are you sure you want to go to Office World?" but that's what I wanted to do.



Obviously being a child I didn't realise how much stationery was out there awaiting me! Since then I have built up quite a collection.

I know that several of my readers are also stationery nuts so I thought I'd share with you some of my favourites.





Both of these writing sets I found in LA. I actually hated LA when I went there (I loved the rest of the West coast though and spent two weeks roadtripping the hell out of it) so this was the city's saving grace. I've had this for like 5 years now....I only ever use it for very special people. I'll be very sad when it runs out.





Another of my favourites is this fantastic Wonder Woman Fold and Mail stationery! This was given to me by a friend - I tell you now - buy stationery for stationery lovers and they will eternally love you.



Of course there are other types of stationery besides writing sets - I love little notecards or post its. Oh dear lord - post its. Best invention known to man surely?



The item of stationery I am particularly obsessive about is note cards. I seem to find beautiful ones everywhere I go and as a result have quite the collection.

The boxes they come in are sometimes just as good...







These Hummingbird Bakery notecards not only look delicious and come in a tin (the don of the notecard box!) but the recipes are gorgeous! The vanilla cupcake recipe is my go-to recipe for a cupcake. They are so easy to make and taste divine! I'll have to share the recipe here soon. Mmmm....my mouth is watering even thinking about them!
