So today I'm
guest vlogging over at Migraine Monologues. For some crazy reason Victoria convinced me that putting myself on camera looking utterly awful would be a good idea! Still, it's all part of raising awareness for National Migraine Awareness week - so please be kind! I just talked about the headache part of my migraine but migraines are actually made up of 4 parts ( predome, aura, headache and postdome).
Victoria has also asked several fellow migraine sufferers what a migraine feels like for them. Definitely worth a look - even if you don't suffer with migraines. It just shows how varied symptoms can be and how debilitating they are.
So happy you are sharing a migraine series this week. Mine have got a lot worse lately and I recently had one that went on for 6 days :( I just get annoyed that it takes my time away!
ReplyDeleteInteresting to hear your experience and how you cope/manage them.
Look forward to hearing more.

I didn't realise you were a fellow migraneur! (although there are actually a surprising amount of people who get them). Glad the migraine series is useful for you. Have you been to the national migraine centre before? If you haven't and yours have got bad I honestly can't recommend them enough! Happy to talk offline about it if you'd prefer too.

You look beautiful, even with impending migraine! x
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the national migraine centre. I will look into it further, thanks Fran. I have felt better these last few weeks, but at one point I was just in tears all the time as there was no let up.
ReplyDeleteI really know how that feels and it's so hard because people don't realise how awful they are and it's such a "hidden" illness. You are seemingly fine the rest of the time. NMC also have a migraine forum which is great for talking to other migraine suffers. It's such a lonely illness that I've found it really supportive just to know other people are going through similar experiences.

Just left a comment on your guest post. Such a horrible illness. An interesting read though, hearing other peoples experiences. :) xx
