Storage Ideas: Buttons

I love buttons! Who doesn't?If like me you randomly end up buying bags of buttons because they are 'JUST TOO PRETTY' then you can end up at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them. After all, they are so beautiful and should be displayed!

I store my buttons in either glass or see-through plastic - that way I can eye them up and appreciate just how pretty they are.The jar on the right (in the picture below) was an old pasta jar and is great for storing any size buttons but especially oversized buttons.

Jam jars are of course a winner. I really love the one pictured below - as it's more unusual than just a plan curved jar.

Old toiletry bottles are great for storing small buttons. I don't know about you but whenever I need a button I end up tipping them all out onto the floor just to get to the bigger ones. I rarely use the little ones and they are always so fiddly to pick up. These bottles used to be shower gel bottles but now are perfect for housing the teeny tiny buttons I have lying around.

How do you store your buttons? Or do you have any other excellent storage ideas for crafty bits and bobs?
