Where did the name Skulls & Ponies come from?
I’m a massive fan of skulls so that bit is obvious. The ponies bit…well when I was feeling sarcastic about something being girly I’d laugh at myself and say “Ooh unicorns and rainbows and ponies and pwetty dwesses!!!!!” (as you do) and when choosing a blog name ‘Skulls & Ponies’ popped into my head and the blog was born!
What on earth does your tagline “…because the sky won’t explode into glitter all on its own” mean?
The idea came from A Softer World. My boyfriend Tom has a print of this and I loved the concept – it felt magical. For me my tagline means, you can’t expect great things to happen unless you contribute. You’ve got to make it happen. I want my world to explode with glitter!

I live in the seaside town of Brighton in the UK
What do you do for a living?
I am a freelance digital marketing consultant. This means I work for myself and help small-medium sized businesses get to grips with their online marketing. You can find out more about what I do here.
